Let’s Recap stress management: Because Stress management is not just one piece, it is a WHOLE.

Remember to make it a daily routine- putting it into practice. What I also wanted to remind you was that you need to also incorporate everything we talked about earlier to lower stress, keep you balanced and allow you to properly deal with what is at hand- and now screaming doesn’t really count.

So let’s recap here:

  1. Heal the gut. Taking probiotics will help to add good bugs back in to help balance your peripheral nervous system. -Tweet this
  2. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet and stay hydrated. Adopt an anti-inflammatory diet and focus on balancing your foods with veggies, protein (especially those that are high in B12 like grass-fed beef, fermented foods, and wild-caught salmon), healthy fats, and plenty of water. Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol because these interfere with the sleep cycle, slowing the recovery of your adrenals. Try instead chamomile, nettle leaf, dandelion, and holy basil tea; these will help to ease stress. If you need to drink caffeine, one serving before noon is less problematic. Some may also need additional supplementation to cope (see later in this chapter).

  3. Live in a clean environment. By lowering the toxic burden inside and outside our bodies, we can lower the stress from within.Tweet this. For added relaxation, add lavender oil to your detox baths. Spending time in nature will also help you detox your breath and increase your sense of peace, allowing you to even digitally detox or to spend time away from computers and other electronic devices.
  4. Cultivate positive relationships and have fun. Spend time with those who will listen, support, and encourage and don’t give you more stress. Simply smiling and laughing will lower cortisol and boost brain chemicals like endorphins, which will help your mood.
  5. Massage is also a therapeutic touch that is healing and is a great way to relieve inflammation and stress. Do what you love and schedule fun rest days during the week. Optimize sleep. Sleep is important in healing and rejuvenating, improving stress levels.
  6. Connect with your soul. Find your higher purpose. Meditation and gratitude will help you to develop a positive attitude and reframe your stress and tackle it better.Tweet this

Manage Your Time Effectively to Reduce Stress.

  1. Time manage and organize. You are the master of your own time. Plan, prioritize, create daily reminders for tasks, and delegate tasks to others. Learn what causes you stress and what is important to you. Learn to say no and remove guilt from the situation.
  2. Declutter your life. This includes your physical environment and your electronic environment, like your emails and messages. Never “should” on yourself. These simple techniques will empower you to take back control of your health and time.
  3. Exercise. Huge stress buster and it can lower systemic inflammatory markers, reducing cravings, regulating appetite, improving insulin sensitivity, improving self-confidence and digestive function by increasing microbial diversity, improving detoxification, boosting happy chemicals in the brain, sharpening memory, reducing the risk of fractures and helping build healthy bones, and keeping chronic diseases at bay and overall lowering inflammation.

So remember to stretch every morning, before and after exercising and find an exercise you will enjoy, and exercise for at least thirty minutes every day. but the key is not the amount but the intensity of exercise, and mix it up with aerobic, strength training, core support, and fascia work…but remember to not to overdo it—listen to your body.
