Let’s Talk Detoxification!

Detoxification! I know it has become a trendy new fad, but when you stick with natural detoxification is awesome. You need things to work properly so you can keep inflammation at bay.

How we detoxify naturally?

First detoxify the skin. The skin is a major elimination organ for toxins: sweating helps to eliminate what the body does not need. Get your fluids moving by exercising, spending time in the sauna, dry brushing, get a massage. Other ways to detoxify include oil pulling, drinking lots of water to increase urination, making sure you are pooping every day, taking a bath with Epson salt or baking soda may all be helpful to eliminate toxins and is great to lower any die-off reactions.

The ability to create a more alkaline environment in the body with an acidic pH in the stomach may help with the detoxification process. I want to tell you that there is hope. I’m here to help you!

How are we going to do that?

Raw Fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices have the most potent detoxifying effects, so get as many servings in as possible. These not only help with alkalinity, but are rich in sulfur and fiber, which helps bind toxins and eliminates them through the stool. Focus on asparagus, bok choy, celery, citrus, green apples, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, olives, plums, cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, beets, cauliflower, watercress, cabbage, kale, Swiss chard, and collard greens.

Let’s talk Glutathione! Detoxification Other Foods great for liver support are salmon, berries, pumpkin seeds, olive oil, lentils, Brazil nuts, wheatgrass, and grapes.

Top beverages are apple cider vinegar, dandelion tea, milk thistle tea, and chamomile tea as they all cleanse the liver and gallbladder.

Herbs that can help in detoxification include caraway, dill seeds, basil, poppy seeds, oregano, black pepper, and cilantro (a natural chelator).

Let’s talk Glutathione! Detoxification

Let’s talk Glutathione. Never heard of it? Glutathione is the most important antioxidant and is found in every cell in your body, but its highest concentration is in your liver. It helps to mop up anything that can damage cells by binding to free radicals and carrying them out of the body. Glutathione also helps with DNA protection, mitochondrial and immune support.

Things could get tricky, some patients have handicapped enzymes. Help your body make its own glutathione by eating plenty of garlic, onions, cilantro, and cruciferous veggies like broccoli, kale, cauliflower, and cabbage. N-acetyl cysteine is a precursor to glutathione.

Then there is blue green algae, like spirulina or chlorella, have an abundance of nutrients that help to cleanse and detox the body by chelating heavy metals and enhances the gut microbiome, improve immunity and help fight infections and chronic disease.

If you are eating a lot of fish, you may want to take blue green algae, in order to prevent mercury from getting stored in your tissues.Tweet this!

But if you are eating a lot of fresh greens, you are likely already detoxing.

Remember to get your green on as well as the massages; get in your Epsom salt bath to help to detox!– Seriously, doctor’s orders!
